The
Mazda3 is a sturdy, refined
hatchback or sedan that, when taken care of over time, can run for well over 100,000 miles. Routine service and care
are the backbones of any long-term ownership experience, though. If you bring your Mazda3 into the shop with
regularity around Livonia and Dearborn, MI, you can expect continued quality and reliability during daily drives.
So, how often should these stops occur?
To help answer that question, our LaFontaine Mazda Livonia team created this Mazda3 maintenance schedule laying out
the ideal procedures your vehicle will be undergoing.
Every 5,000 Miles
The most common service occurrences that your Mazda3 will require over time are
oil changes, tire rotations,
engine filter replacements, and a general inspection of the engine coolant level and drive belt. At most, you may be
able to squeak out 7,500 miles between these services, but moving well beyond that range could see your Mazda
undergo various performance downticks.
These simple procedures are quick and easy to knock out, so be sure to schedule your visit to our shop online.
Every 10,000 Miles
There’s another round of fairly routine services that should be taking place on your Mazda3 and these come around
every 10,000 miles. Items will be inspected, such as the brake lines, hoses, connections, brake and clutch (if
applicable) fluid level, disc brakes, and tires.
Every 30,000 Miles
As you reach 30,000 miles in your Mazda3, you’ll again want to return to the shop and have some standard procedures
knocked out. At this stage, the cabin air filter is going to be removed and replaced. The air filter will be looked
at closely and likely replaced.
This mark is also when certain tires begin to lose their tread. We’ll inspect your tires to see how long they have
or if they’ve already passed their usefulness. If you need a new set of tires, we’ll get those on quickly and
easily.
Every 60,000 Miles
Depending on the type of Mazda3 you have, there are certain services that could take place at 40,000 miles or 70,000
miles. The spark plugs are a perfect example, with certain trims requiring replacement at 40,000 miles and others at
75,000 miles.
Most versions of the Mazda3 are going to require the engine coolant to be replaced at this time, too.
Allow Us to Create a MAZDA3 Service Guideline for You
While there are certain service standards each version of the Mazda3 has to go through, the timing of these
procedures varies depending on your trim level, your engine, and your own personal driving habits. To provide the
exact care you want for your vehicle, you can

Livonia team around Livonia and Dearborn, Michigan, and we’ll be happy to create a custom outline for you.
